At college, I was part of a group project to build a website in 5 days. My role was to design the homepage and help organise the team’s workflow. I created a simple design, shared a task list, and made sure we all stayed on schedule. We completed the project on time, and our tutor praised our teamwork and planning.

I want to learn from experienced professionals, gain real work experience, build confidence, and develop the skills needed for long-term employment.

During a work placement, I was asked to answer calls for the first time and felt nervous. I had to answer professionally, take messages, and stay calm under pressure. I wrote down a greeting script, practiced with my mentor, and reminded myself to speak slowly and clearly. After a few calls, my confidence grew, and by the end of the week, I was answering confidently on my own.

I would own up straight away, learn from it, and take steps to avoid it in the future. I believe honesty and learning from errors is important in any role.

I break things into smaller parts, ask for help when I need it, and remind myself of why I started. I stay focused on long-term goals.

I use a calendar or planner to track tasks, set realistic goals, and review progress. I try not to leave things to the last minute.
